gutwrenching (in retrospect a good anti-drug film but kinda fails to paint a true picture of a drug addict - further dehumanising the public image of them as someone who isn’t themself without their addiction? maybe bc of the time the book/movie was written)

i feel like i’m missing some context within the setting and story but yea … psychologically v scary film especially w annos camerawork using the closeup fisheyes and the distorted worldview - it succeeds strongly at making u feel uncomfortable and squeamish watching someone find the wrong path
