Leave the World Behind 2023
The “Eat, Pray, Love” star doesn’t give a convincing performance in this Netflix original. Shallow characterization and uninspiring acting across the board doesn’t net them the “bacon” this time. It doesn’t take a “true detective” to see where the films arrives at upon each act. Stumbling with its “foot loose” the contents of this piece ends up being mediocre social media bait. A tale of families coping with disaster with a nihilistic millennial twist. I dare say the “friends” made along the way did little to give this Netflix blockbuster lasting appeal.
