    Causeway

Causeway – no matter how emotional the core is, the film sinks into bottomless boredom! It took me four attempts to watch it, as I kept falling asleep."

  • The Gorge

    The Gorge

    ★★★

The Gorge is a solid film that sometimes drags and gains momentum too late, and it will probably be quickly forgotten. The lead actors are likable, and Anya Taylor-Joy, in particular, puts in a lot of effort.

    In the Lost Lands

I didn't expect anything from In the Lost Lands. Just a mindless action movie with a simple plot—kind of like the first two Resident Evil films. But the movie couldn't even maintain that low standard.

The characters act illogically, the dialogues are atrocious, and despite being full of CGI, it looks incredibly cheap. And the worst part?

The story, the setting, the world—everything had potential for a fun, short-lived movie.

So remember: When George R. R. Martin says a director captured his world better than he did himself, it's just marketing!

    Alien: Romulus

    ★★★½

After the failed "Covenant," it was clear that the series couldn't continue in the same way. And even though I'm not necessarily a fan of the Disney productions, I can say that "Alien: Romulus" has definitely taken a better and more appropriate direction.

The film naturally has many elements from the first two movies, and you can also feel a bit of nostalgia. Aside from a few odd special effects, the film is visually stunning. However, the story feels a bit rushed, but in the end, it's definitely a solid, intense horror-action film that fits well into the Alien franchise.
