Ok, there's no understating it this time. This is one of the best anime films I've ever seen.

Where do I even start. This is one of the most specifically crafted, confident films in existence this side of Blade Runner 2049. It's an incredible, one-of-a-kind vision in so many ways. Firstly, there's the animation. This is one of the most gorgeous films ever created; insanely ambitious, with its distinctive style, soaring landscapes, incredible detail, ridiculous fluidity and jaw-dropping colour palette.…

Yeah, definitely a lot better than the trailer suggests, although to me it felt long for a 90-minuter but hey ho. The score is really interesting

Also if you know my music taste you know the overlap between it and the kind of music that appears in films is nonexistent, so I got unreasonably excited when I heard To Love by Suki Waterhouse playing, considering that is currently on repeat for me

I was already gonna give this a very low rating. This movie is disgusting through and through with no real meaning or story other than shitloads of nudity and bodily excrements, with random footage of real dead bodies spliced in presumably to pretend it's making a point. But that bit with the kids pushed it over the edge, that bit is just straight up not ok to film. No fucking wonder the actress got banned from her home country.

Fun but a bit underwhelming. It's not quite funny enough to justify its near Barbie-level social satire, and it's definitely stronger in the first half. But Bong's english-language films have always been a bit weaker than those in his native tongue, so I'm not totally surprised. Still, he remains a consistent director

Was definitely surprising to hear Pattinson sounding like Anton Yelchin ngl
