The Iron Claw 2023
Very well done. Despite some historical inaccuracies—most notably, the regrettable omission of the youngest Von Erich brother—and the guy trying his hardest to not sound one bit like Ric Flair, this was a heartbreaking story of brotherhood and family trauma with just enough joy and catharsis to balance out the truly devastating moments. The director also showed restraint by not indulging in so many “cute” winks at the choreographed nature of the sport, which, as a lifelong wrestling enthusiast, I greatly appreciated.
