I'll say it, the first part is better than the second. But this was so fun to watch the whole saga in one sitting!

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I know this film gets a whole lot of criticism and after watching it again, I don't agree with it whatsoever. I actually enjoyed it more than I did the first time. It's necessary to actually dive into this moment of the revolution. To see that the events of Catching Fire are beginning to influence the districts. And the development of the politics in this film add to the world building as well. This film has some outright stunning shots as well. It's just crazy to me to see how heavily criticized this film really is.

This is easily one of the most absurd and funniest movies that I've loved since childhood. Like a good amount of the things that occur in this film are out right insane. And it makes it all even more enjoyable with such well done voice acting performances! That is the make it or break it for an animated film for me. Seeing this on 35mm was such a unique and incredible experience, let alone seeing it on a screen 10 times bigger than the one I orignally watched this film on. Truly a one of a kind film.
