Pacing was really off. There will be stretches of buildup to what should be an interesting scene, then it’ll die off after 30 seconds. Transitions between scenes often did not work, and threw the energy off. The most interesting scenes in this film don’t even appear until way past the half-mark. Need to hook and reel the audience in the beginning.
Ending is so lame. It’s like Shyamalan makes you think the opposite will happen, and then it doesn’t and it’s actually just the simple answer all along. It’s like a firework with a long fuse that doesn’t even go off in the end.

It’s game over man! GAME OVER!
Practical 80s horror at its highest refinement. The most badass headstrong femme fatale. The pinnacle moment of Ripley’s arc is that last deep breath before the elevator reaches Sublevel 03. We needed it as much as she did.
Artists only dream to create a sequel that towers over the original of which is a picture perfect cult classic. You know it’s a good one when you finish the film sweaty, exhausted, mentally drained, and oh so satisfied. Time for a cryo nap.
