  Went into this blind as I’m going through Bergman slowly but surely. Wow this was incredible. The mundanity of their everyday life together in the opening scenes felt so familiar and lulled me into a false state of safety. Then the war catches up with them and it all feels so real and terrifying. I can’t really think of any other war movies where we’ve been solely in the perspective of civilians. I’ve never connected or empathized with a war…
