  A movie both of it’s time and ahead of its time. Spike Lee said it well, “only white people asked why Mookie threw that trash can into Sal’s restaurant” 

  On top of that, it is visually beautiful and the monologues are creative and memorable.

  Really enjoyed this movie! The pacing of it was phenomenal and it never felt like it dragged despite it being a nearly 3 hour movie. In fact by the end I found myself wishing it wouldn’t end because I need to know what happened next! 

  Each part of the film was engaging and felt important. The movie honestly wasn’t that hard to follow either, so don’t let others ward you off by that. The world they build is so immersive and you get sucked right in.

  Also, the soundtrack complimented the movie GREATLY - I love me a good soundtrack 👍🏽
