Every single character has depth and is more interesting than most movies achieve with 3 hr+ run times. Every single frame is blocked and styled perfectly. How did this have the weight and expansiveness of an epic yet it was only ~90 minutes? Has just as much or more to say than the Godfather but half the runtime? Reaches extreme levels of disturbing but manages to make me laugh throughout?

Only a masterfully crafted film can do such a thing. This is possibly the best sequel to a movie I’ve ever seen.

In a far-reaching way this is like a contemporary twisted Make Way for Tomorrow.

love the separated screen segments. I found it unique and extremely fitting to the overall tone, emotion, and i guess “theme” if you could call it that of the movie. the segment as the man just types…
