  I’m glad I watched this, but I highly doubt I ever will again. There were a lot of parts that blew me away, and parts that literally could not end fast enough.

  I think prior knowledge about this subject made the first half drag on for me. The second half was much better, and the scene where Oppenheimer is giving that speech after they dropped the bomb made me physically ill. It’s a beautiful film, but the dialogue felt a little quip-y at times, for me. When that man called Oppenheimer ‘the American Prometheus’ my eyes rolled SO hard. I think if I had watched this in the theater, or before the hype got super crazy, I would’ve enjoyed it more, sadly.

  THIS is what I want from indie movies. Dreamy and intimate and tender. Like a movie you stumble upon late at night in a hotel, something you’ve never heard of. You’re tired from the day, the AC is loud and so cold. Eating a meal that’s only okay; the movie feels like the most enthralling thing you’ve ever seen. And just like those movies, this one made me cry, very early in the morning, until my stomach hurt.
