    disappointingly non sexy. so didn't deserve the title subservience. impressively included every single 'nanny taking over family' trope AND ai trope. lowkey genius casting megan fox, her face is already uncanny valley perfect. my not boyfriend is great at picking random movies to watch but we'll probably be skipping the hamfistedly built up to sequel (jk we'll probably watch it bad movies forever<3)

    i feel like it had so much potential to be more visually striking than it was. the shots were THERE the camera was just .. in a different place. i have to say, the crispness paired with the color scheme - it bordered on credit card commercial a few times. as a whole work it just felt a bit like it was missing something. it could’ve been far more disturbing, and cleaner, with better colors, and more interesting camera work…

    establishing atmosphere is so important in any film, but especially horror, which makes it so much worse when they're trying so hard. hushed and muted conversations literally the entire time and i checked my computer's brightness every ten minutes to make sure it wasn't me - it wasn't, this dude just wanted it to be spooky. the ending went crazy honestly, so solid, but dude if you have the ability to write banger scenes consider not making the audience wait…
