  Look, I love me a good disaster flick. And this was a good time! A volcano is going to erupt, AGAIN, and BIGGER, destroying the Korean Peninsula if our heroes don’t fight the volcano with nuclear weapons. That they have to steal from North Korea!

  The US is in it, and they’d like everyone to know that this plan would be absolutely inconvenient to their denuclearization talks. So, they might have to kill everyone involved. For peace.

  The way they mixed beauty and horror was the most shocking aspect of this movie. It’s funny because one of the main characters has electro-super powers.

  Seriously, the opening sequence is all you need to feel the vibe of beauty and horror the story will grapple with. At the opening, you get the cast of freaks performing their wonderful acts to beautiful music in a cozy circus tent to smiling Italian faces. Very much The Shape of Water. And the…
