    This may be going against the grain (*ahem*), but I thoroughly enjoyed this. A clear step up from the first movie, with more time developing the characters, the dynamics between them, and the larger picture of the world.

    The first half of the film has a slower pace that lets us dive into these characters more; whilst it is done in quite a straightforward structure of consecutively giving time to each character, I still really appreciated the earnestness of it…

    These Nun horror films are really in vogue right now, aren't they? This one is excellent, really delves into the gross and twisted horror of it all.

    Also, this film is beautifully shot, and uses the time period to great effect. The cast are superb, the body horror makes you squirm, and the plot is very thought-provoking.

    Makes me want to watch the originals, which shows it has done a good job! (Seriously though let's give Nun horror films a break for a bit, yeah?)
