  Is Brokeback Mountain a good film? I walked into it with high expectations having never seen it. Perhaps midway through, I was scared that I was missing something, or maybe I wasn’t seeing something; I was scared this was not a good film. More, I was scared this was actually a terrible film. The second half of Brokeback Mountain confirmed every single one of my fears. The main theme of the film is this: soul crushing abject misery.
