  Genuinely this isn't a bad movie, it's just really confused on how it chooses to portray human terror, anxiety, and that immediate fear of national danger stemming from 9/11. Conceptually, M. Night is back at it with some weird ass ideas as well as very good utilization of the camera in certain sequences, but ultimately results in very bad dialogue, acting, and overall the story. So many unironically hilarious line deliveries and scenes, but still felt like a slog by the end. Still might be the most absurd and hilarious thriller I've seen

  Have been super stoked about this for a while and yeah its pretty good. Pretty original and unique when it comes to the found footage genre and has some pretty gnarly effects and sequences paired with great sound design that made me fall in love with low-budget found footage again.   This is the most non-A24 movie that A24 has made. Much like Good Time, Uncut Gems is an exhausting movie. Probably the most exhilarating movie all year. The score from OPN is blaring, with every scene being so loud, it makes it so hard to breathe. Adam Sandler killed it, although I still think PDL is his best work.
