I can see how someone who never played the games would be confused about what was going on, and I thought it was kind of goofy to have Michael Fassbender climb around in the Animus.   Sonic the Hedgehog 3 2024

  Gotta grade these kids movies on a scale, but I did still enjoy this. Jim Carrey is fantastic as Dr. Robotnik (both versions), I truly hope this isn’t his last outing as the character but kinda hard to see how it’s not. Heating Keanu Reeves’ voice coming out of Shadow the Hedgehog is a little jarring at first but I got used to it. There’s some real heart to this, but I might have enjoyed the second one a little more. In any case, I liked it.

  Captain America: The Winter Soldier 2014

  While a lot of people seem to be down on the first Captain America movie, I actually enjoyed it quite a bit and was pretty interested to see the next entry in the franchise. The Winter Soldier is nothing less than a relentless action thrill ride with a heavy dose of intrigue thrown in. You can't say anything about this before recognizing how amazing the action setpieces are choreographed and shot - I've seen enough action movies to be jaded…
