Nice feel good movie with a coming of age vibe. Not super technically complex in terms of thematic elements but painted the usual memoir overcoming adversity picture. The character development was at times lackluster and the storytelling lacked any semblance of surprise but what more can you expect from a memoir. An overall picker-upper of a movie that would go great with a cold beer.
