The perfect blockbuster for a 1993 audience. The writing, production, music and characters are nearly perfect. There’s a reason Spielberg is such a success. Tension and suspense are used perfectly throughout this film.
His animatronics and puppetry is perfect for portraying the horror and fear of the dinosaurs. This is a masterclass in how to create the perfect film.

Chihiro wanders into a magical world where a witch rules and turns those who disobey her into animals.
I watched this film a little at a time over months, I lost interest in the convoluted story throughout this film. I found the protagonist unlikeable and arrogant. For me the plot was far too long.
I can appreciate the artistry of the film, each frame is visually stunning and a work of art. The character designs are amazing, I liked the variety of characters throughout the film.

I understand this film’s success, the love story is sharing and the characters are likeable and fit well with the iconic score. But dam this film goes on for far too long.
The underlying commentary on the nature of class inequality l, gender roles and the dangers of ego and greed create a fantastic story and plot. …

An 1830’s gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the horrifying vampire infatuated with her, cousin untold horror in its wake.
A direct remake of its 1922 original, I found the acting from Lily Rose Depp really let this film down, her character was lacking of any sympathy for me.
The layout and production of this film was amazing. The make-up and mise-en-scene was perfect. The lighting and cinematography is picturesque especially the moonlit woods scenes was framed and filmed to perfection.
