Batman: Mask of the Phantasm 1993
A stylish film noir and yet the technicolour on this made my balls tingle. The performances, the musical score, the themes of tragedy and love, the understated subtly, the writing. Dark but not excessively. The best Batman. Not that I’ve watched many depictions but the execution of this feels fresh. This film stands the test of time and will continue to do so.
