  Film is filled to the brim with ideas. However, only some of the ideas work well and more critically, the important ones do not.

  The camerawork and editing is on point. There are so many moments where you could pause the film and admire what was on screen. I guess I am a sucker for black and white contrast. The story and acting are also solid as well.

  Decaf Gladiator, but honestly that is a decaf joke. Technically proficient with interesting characters. However, the story beats are too similar to Gladiator and the themes are too inextricably tied up with Gladiator for this film to stand on its own two feet.

  Yeah, this movie aged poorly. Although the movie understands how goofy its premise is, its action sequences are mostly bland and boring. Also, Snake comes across as edgy rather than cool.
