Original concept and practical effects, they don’t make movies like this anymore.

The movie doesn’t tie itself in knots explaining the origin of the Graboids. They could be prehistoric, they could be a government experiment, or they could even be from outer space. It’s not important.

The wall of guns reveal is immaculate.

Marvel has ruined my perception of Scarlett Johansson as an actor. She is fantastic in this.

Taika Waititi is such a mixed bag. He can go from an absolute banger like Jojo Rabbit to an absolute stinker like Thor: Love and Thunder. His performance was probably the weakest but only because everyone else, even the child actors, we so good.

Satire that shits on Nazi Germany is always peak. The Producers walked so Jojo Rabbit could run up and kick Hitler in the balls.

Dracula just wants to host a race, not win or even compete, just host. He’s also set on Shaggy competing but does his absolute best to sabotage all attempts for Shaggy to compete. He also wants to hit his wife. I know this because he explicitly says it several times.

    Shaggy’s girlfriend is named Googie.

Scrappy is more likable than Scooby.

This movie was a cornerstone of my childhood. Dracula wants to hit his wife.

Todd Phillips really knows how to incorporate the most flaccid, flavorless Joker narrative trends into his Joker movie that’s about a guy who calls himself Joker but isn’t actually the Joker.

So all along Arthur Fleck wasn’t actually the Joker but rather his precursor and inspiration? Thanks, I hate it. It is without a doubt one of the most reductive things you can do to a character. The implication here being that the Joker that regularly battles Batman, the one…
