I love movies just like the rest of you. I also do a podcast like the rest of you.
Have a listen
This is such a great horror movie because it doesn't give you any satisfaction. No one is safe, you don't get to see who did it, & there's just no justice.
A friend of mine made a really good point on how this movie keeps you uneasy throughout it's run-time and I couldn't agree more. It doesn't follow the typical formula of a horror film & I just love the pacing of this movie.
I will always love this movie. I don't often go back to my favorites, as I feel like I have such a vivid memory of watching it that it doesn't feel necessary but man I was wrong.
Yes I did know the story, but watching it as an adult makes the story, the animation, and the score hit so much harder. For example, as a kid, Scar is just another run of the mill villain. But as an adult, Scar…
Happy Birthday Syd! I would've NEVER EVER IN A MILLION YEARS discovered this movie if it weren't for you 🤣.
Couple notes:
Pete's theft total: $6.38
Where's the Black People?
Where the cops at?
Hearing "Buttercreamers" is the worst way to talk about members of a"gang"
Maggie girl got the Nerdy girl is considered pretty when she takes off her glasses and let's her hair down. Arc.
Story would've been better had Pete actually died.
I was born in Chicago…
I don't know if I've ever seen a Romcom/Horror before but I have now!
Don't go into this movie believing it's pure horror/slasher. As the movie goes on you'll really start understand what they're doing with it.
I've never realized it myself but Horror & RomCom kinda fall in the same lane. Both genres have predictable plots, cheesy lines, stupid main characters, & both attempt to make you laugh. This movie does all of those things.
I'm not gonna spoil anything, but just go into it thinking more RomCom with horror sprinkled in & you'll be strapped in perfectly for the ride.
