  I am still convinced this film is great, and it’s gonna become a cult classic one day.

  Even if the cult is just me and anyone I can convince to sit through 2 hours staring at Tom Cruise’s face.

  It’s worth it I promise!

  It is rare that a film frustrates me so much. It’s a handsome film, well made and mostly well acted. 

  HOWEVER, for a film that appears to comment on the failures of modern patriarchy, allowing De Gris 1/3 of the running time and allowing him to be seen as sympathetic completely undermines it.

  Showing the rape scene twice was totally unnecessary, and felt exploitative.

  What an aggravating film.
