All the parts were there with the all star cast, iconic director and Ennio Morricone score. Ultimately should have been better with all those ingredients but still a fun watch. Practical nice werewolf makeup but fell short of even the lower budget werewolf films of the decade preceding this one. Great scenes using the Bradbury Building in LA but takes place in Manhattan, I guess there weren’t any available office buildings available. At least Mike Nichols pulled us right back in with The Birdcage two years later.

William friedkin died today. For anyone who didn’t know, he’s the director of blockbuster triumphs that have spanned decades, including The Exorcist, French Connection, To Live and Die in LA, etc. On the day of his death, I watched The Sound of Freedom- a crowd funded, unexpected summer blockbuster of 2023. The movie unexpectedly beat out large studio summer blockbusters such as Mission Impossible and Indiana Jones.
