The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar 2023
Stylistically lovely (feels like a given, though) and I'll always appreciate films with the flair of a stageplay. I'll admit, not knowing the source material, I was half-expecting a story more like If On A Winter's Night A Traveler, but alas.
Just as long as it needed to be, if a bit tedious at times.

The Unbreakable Boy 2025
I really hated this movie but it was so mediocre that giving it half a star feels disingenuous too. I felt like my skin was melting every time I heard the inspirational feel good facebook reel piano and acoustic guitar music start playing.
I went in expecting to hate it, halfway through I thought, “Maybe I could grow to enjoy this,” and near the end left to go to the bathroom just so I could stop watching the movie and go on my phone to complain. Felt way longer than its actual runtime, torturously so.
