A wonderful story of how a public image can make or break people psychologically. Looking back and I realized this was more about cancel culture and overnight fame versus actual dreams. How quickly public image can be destroyed with social media regardless of someone actually doing something. Public images are fragile in our subconscious due to media and outer influence (popularity is as powerful as we make it). A perfectly hidden message and theme here.
Overall a profound movie with a surprisingly powerful performance from Cage. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants a quick thriller.

Not what you think of as gangsters of the early American settlement in New York. A no rules civilization that can go any direction at any time. Nobody is safe. Leo plays the hell out of his character and quickly learns what it means to be a gangster. Lewis of course perfects the role and the two clash with such cohesive parts. Have not seen anything like this. 4.5/5

The perfect heist movie with the duo before Pitt and Clooney. A very theatrical storyline that grows on you. Great villian in Robert shaw and follows the idea of Robin hood (root for the poor underdog). Excellent acting by Newman and Redford, easily found its way into my top 5 of all time. 5/5
