It Chapter Two 2019
Some people hate on this movie and they can actually kick fucking rocks because It chapter 1 and 2 are two sides to the same coin. It follows up on the momentum the first movie gave us and doesn’t let us down with an equally entertaining cast of adult losers club members, ambiance, and scares. Following up on such a well made movie like IT chapter 1 with as much continuity as it demands is no easy task and chapter 2 100% fulfills on that order. Only drawback is that it’s not as scary as the first one…

The Evil Dead 1981
This movie is a trip. Definitely a slow burn at the beginning that toes into boring territory by todays standards but then turns into an unsettling horror masterpiece. With some of the best practical effects I have ever seen combined with a gritty low-budget atmosphere gives a wholly unique experience that can simply not be replicated anywhere else. Definitely a good choice to throw on for spooky szn.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law 2022
Serviceable for an MCU show. I enjoyed the relationship between female jolly green giant and daredevil but there are moments that lean too heavily into the “men-are-trash” mindset and even goes so far as talk down to the people that have grievances with the show. The ending was also way, way too meta and just became frustrating with what they were letting themselves get away with. But it still has fun moments that keep you watching and seeing she-hulk shake her green ass at the camera was a plus too.
