Conceptually, I think that the finale works. It had the elements necessary to conclude Dexter’s story but compressing those ideas into too little time with lots of odd little plot discrepancies.
Dexter finally getting exposed because he was sloppy is satisfying, the best scenes in the finale are the ones where he is trying to outmanoeuvre Angela and smugly pulling on her strings. I actually think the episode did a good job of demonstrating how Dexter just didn’t feel…
