  Romping along at a good ol' pace and bolstered by some solid performances, Solomon Kane is good, solid fun.

  Ultimately let down by some late in the day CGI beasties (which have a lack of finesse which betrays the films low budget origins) and slightly glossed over story beats, there's still a lot to like here.

  A throwback to the cannibal pictures of yore, bogged down with the usual Eli Roth detritus. The few admittedly impressive visuals are undercut by backward characterizations and frat boy histrionics.

  Great central performance, but strangely muted overall. Doesn't really get across the breadth of Deep Throat's success or the turbulent inner life of LL.

  Ultimately not as compelling as Inside Deep Throat nor as epic as Boogie Nights.
