The Brutalist 2024
Proper film making. Over indulgent pompous filmmaking that only works when you do pull it off, as The Brutalist does. I think I viewed this in the perfect setting, alone at 8PM on a Monday. First half is 10/10 second half has some flawed logic and maybe is a little bit too on the nose in regard to some of the bigger plot points, but it’s a movie after all. Beast performances all around and great directing. Brody should win and prob will win best picture.
