Mother isn’t as good as Memories of Murder and the comedic tone feels sometimes forced; if you like the drop kicks in Bong Joon-ho's films, you will love the kicks galore in this. But I’m really surprised by just how unique this film is with its storytelling, especially the third act that had me shocked. The acting is great, the cinematography is breathtaking (as most of Bong’s films) and the directing is among the director’s best. And the whole commentary about…

This is the second time I see this film in cinema (last time was 2019, in IMAX) and it’s one of the best films to experience on the big screen. The funniest thing was that it was supposed to be the theatrical cut, but they showed us Final Cut. I don’t complain since it’s the best version of my favourite film, but it was really funny.

”Hmm! Why in the hell would Sentre steal a little boy?”
    ”I know. It’s nuts.”
    …🎩🥜👀…
    ”No offense.”
    ”Get it all the time.”
Wow, the only time I really laugh at this film is when they play with words. Not even Judas Priest made me laugh.

I give the film this: it has a good introduction, reminds me a lot of the video game Atomic Heart, where the robots goes on a rampage, and the world is gorgeous (at least…

    ”Well... kind of plain.”
    ”In what way?”
    ”Just... ordinary.”

This film has really raised in my ranking of the best films ever made with this rewatch. Now it’s not only the best South Korean film I’ve seen (previously hold by Oldboy, which is still one of the best masterpieces out there), but it’s better than Se7en and on the same level as Traffic and The Silence of the Lambs. I have three films that I…

“I’ve got a joke for you. A comedy director stole ideas from King of Comedy and Taxi Driver, made a thoughtful film about mental illness and created one of the best comic book films ever, and then he decided to do a sequel which turns out to be one of the worst comic book films ever created.”

“Ok, I’m waiting for the punchline.”
“There’s no punchline. This film sucks, strong 2/10.”

Film aside, I spent an evening with my family.❤️

The film certainly has a charm and Robert Pattinson delivers not one, but two fantastic performances (he plays several clones of himself, but the meat of the film is about Mickey 17 and 18), he clearly shows us that he’s not Edward Cullen anymore. He’s the only real saving grace in this film, a BIG saving grace.

But for f*** sake… the political satire in this is so forced fed into our mouths that it drives me insane. I’m not…
