Saw this at the end of the Gaza Remains the Story exhibition at the District 6 Homecoming Centre after an hours-long group talk about some truly difficult, heartbreaking conversations about the place of cultural resistance in revolutionary movements and what being an "activist" even means when tens of thousands are dying and having their homes obliterated.

Scott Pilgrim for Middle Aged People is still just such an insanely beautiful film. I was weirdly transfixed by how it's structured this time. I don't generally care a lot about hyping up nonlinearity but the framing elevates the pacing so much it's hard not to find it absolutely stunning. Kirsten Dunst is kinda the secret star of this I love her so much in this role.
