Dream Scenario 2023
A very bizarre movie. While the first half is fun internet fame wish-fulfilment fantasy, the second half quickly becomes very ugly and hard to watch. I normally appreciate that kind of change, but there didn't feel like there was much connective tissue joining the two perspectives. Felt jarring and small.

Dolittle 2020
Dolittle did little for me. I could only make out Downey’s accent once every four or five lines, and the CGI made me feel ill. The editing was particularly strange. My favourite odd moment was halfway through the film when the film fast forwards through 15 minutes of plot in 30 seconds and the parrot narrates what’s happening as if it’s reflecting on the present from a point in the future. Is the parrot omnipotent? Am I in a nightmare?…

Little Women 2019
There were so many brilliant lines in this film, lines that I completely resonated with and wanted to write down and hold close. I adored the characters, and the writing, and the cinematography, and the editing. It's supremely clever, without being pretentious. It feels like it's trying to make it as easy as possible to enjoy - all it's smarts are in the little tricks it pulls to get you to draw close to it. I really, really loved it.
