I'm seeing something that was always hidden.

The most uncomfortable thing about all this, is that as much as we want to treat it as a nightmare, a fever dream and anything but real, because of the darkness of what we see and the author of this film, it is not, it is the raw but also the reality of our world, and that is what Blue velvet is trying to tell us.

I know I'm not going to say anything new in terms of the film's message, but I want to leave my thoughts and my vision of this one.

I loved the film, it had a huge impact on me, and I never thought I would see Kubrick with such an emotional and thoughtful touch on aspects outside the plot of his own films. Excellent filming and a very literal and explicit depiction of cruelty and injustice (I think the fact…

The honesty and reality of poverty-stricken areas through the eyes of childhood innocence make this a unique and heart-wrenching story. The film presents us characters marginalized by society and oppressed by the well-known “American Dream” who are driven to take decisions that, to the privileged viewer, may seem easy to judge. These “immoral” characters are constructed and presented by Sean Baker with such humanity and little judgment or stigmatization that they end up being close and beloved by the viewer.…

A funny and tender satire that doesn’t just explore its political conflict but also brings chaos and a magnetic character that make the film enjoyable.

It's not perfect, but this social sci-fi offers a comic take on political tyranny pushed to dystopian extremes, making it pass as an original blockbuster. That said, some parts of the film don’t really add much, falling into repetition and making it drag a bit— but it’s still an exciting experience.

Mark Ruffalo, please, don't ever stop acting.

    Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga

    ★★★½

It starts well. The development of Furiosa in the story is decent. But then there's a long action scene that feels empty, unlike those in the previous movie, and it became extremely boring. I feared that the style of Fury Road couldn't be applied to a story spanning many years. I was wrong, but not completely. It's good, but not great.
It has a very good cast, though. And it's totally mind-blowing to see MAD MAX in the distance. The wives too.
