  i am never not impressed by diego luna & gael garcia bernal. their work on la máquina feels like they were trying to explore similar concepts but they rlly did it best here. mexican cinema is rlly one of a kind and the type of films they pump out feel like love letters to la patria altho filled with criticisms of the not so romantic parts of their society. rlly lovely exploration of toxic masculinity & the complexity of brotherhood. love love love

  oh this was fun. it loses me a bit in the third act unfortunately but i did have such a good time. bong joon ho has an interesting way of extracting different emotions out of u. several times i was brought close to tears just to cut myself off to laugh at the silly nature of the whole movie. while a not-so-subtle reminder that the director hates capitalism and america, i think that at its core it's a movie about…
