Oozing with atmosphere and dread, Nosferatu is another hit for Robert Eggers. A commanding performance from Bill Skaarsgard as Orlock and a breakout turn by Lily Rose Depp as well. Though, if I'm being 100% honest here, some of her gyrations and her facial expressions did kind of take me out of the movie due to how silly and comical they looked.

In what seems like an extended episode of Creepshow, Jonah Ray Rodriguez is an affable loser prog-rocker wannabe and does a good job at both making you pity him, but also realizing he's got a lot of darkness inside him. But a real standout is Alex Winter, who devours scenery in heavy prosthetics as Vlad, the noisy brute of a neighbor. It harkens back to his performance in Freaked, especially in the third act when it starts really going off the rails.
