The speeches are awesome. The acting is great, and the costumes and shots too. I would change how the first and second act are told. In the autobiography, the gangster days and the early NOI days are told through reflective nearing-the-end-of-life-Malcolm X's eyes. He's looking back at how the social conditions and state sponsored violence had left him destitute, chasing a futile hustle. While the movie certainly doesn't endorse his gangster days, they aren't told through reflective MX's voice, rather…
