I can’t deny I cried.
The best parts of the movie are definitely the amazing cinematography and Lux Aeterna. Sara is by far the most well-developed character, and Jared Leto not only gave an amazing performance but is also insanely hot.
That said, even though the ending is incredibly moving, the story is told in a messy way and feels a bit shallow at first—that’s the only thing that really disappointed me. Still, great job by Darren Aronofsky and the whole team.
Metaphorically brilliant. I want to talk about how each detail fits perfectly the atmosphere of the movie, how a lot of the apparently insignificant dialogues, actions and shots are inherently representative of the themes. The allegory to the “parasites” (brilliantly portrayed through elements such as the bunker, the basement, the “infestation” inside the Park house) is a huge human description of the consequences of capitalism and people not being able to understand reality outside the logic to which they have…
