Synecdoche, New York 2008
What a wild film. It's so beautifully chaotic which is one of the best descriptions I can think of for life. This is a film that sits with you and allows you to wrestle with it's complexity and encounter it on an existential level. Kaufman truly has a one of the most unique and influential voices in the industry for those who watch his films and allow them to wrestle with ones own sense of being.

I heard about this film on the podcast, Movies While They Sleep, particularly the episode with Jared Hogan about The Green Knight.
I'm familiar with the name of Wim Wenders, but this was the first film I've watched from him, and damn. This was everything they expressed on the podcast and more. The atmosphere was phenomenal. The tension was thick. This was a masterclass in the art of visual storytelling.
Also, Fuller! It's always an extra star when he shows up.
