  Not much rewatch value but I liked this a lot more than I expected. 

  “The Big Short” is basically a crash course in financial apocalypse, but with Margot Robbie in a bubble bath explaining subprime mortgages.. so honestly, no complaints. Adam McKay takes a ridiculously complex and infuriating story and somehow makes it digestible (well, mostly) through rapid-fire edits, absurd humor, and fourth-wall-breaking moments that keep you engaged just when your brain starts overheating. And 
  then there’s Steve Carell, ditching the comedy entirely for a raw and real performance that reminds you just how good he really is.

  Manny at the end was literally me, I couldn’t help the happy tears, such a beautiful movie with a great message. I love the overarching theme about wanting to be apart of something bigger and detaching the work from the artist, it was really well done. Especially with that bold closing montage. Such a perfect touch, it really encapsulated the idea of “movie magic”. a beautiful homage to filmmaking and an inspiring picture all throughout.
