The main storyline of this miniseries is actually the most underdeveloped and least interesting, which the ending reflects, zapping away a lot of the enjoyment I had watching the series during its best moments . It's at its best when you're slowly realizing the fact that Brigham Young was a real-life version of Judge Holden.

You can really tell this came out during the tail-end of Matrix's influence over Hollywood because they just stripped the substance from the original source material and just said 'guy in mask cool and blows up building, fuck the system yeah' and just doesn't address peoples complacency in authoritarianism despite their interest in self-governance and what happens after the revolution is over.
