Listen to me! There’s a plot to destroy the Looney Tunes! It’s coming from an alien like being trying to strip the world of its resources! Believe me! I think his name is…Zaslav!

This movie is so much fun. And it’s so very Looney Tunes. I was sold from the opening montage, and rode the ride all the way through the tight 90. There were moments in this film where I was crying with laughter and the whole theater (well…

I love that we’re in the R Patz doing weird voices era. Keep giving them to me, I’ll eat it up.

This film is a fun concept and a good time. R Patz is great, Ruffalo nails his role in my mind (I genuinely don’t get the criticisms I’ve seen of him in this film, he’s playing his role), Toni Collette absolutely matches Ruffalo’s energy (or if anything he matches hers?), & Naomi Ackie is solid in her role. I wish…

However, I’m also pro-indie film, so I’m not hardline against seeing it, especially when everything else in this film is so clearly made with love and effort. I…

It’s interesting how many films this year seem to be discussing the Satanic panic of the 80’s. I think it’s a cross between showing the dark side of 80’s nostalgia, as well as a response to the current rise of conservatism and the “censorship/no sex in film” movements. But maybe I’m just reading too much into things. Either way, the trend is interesting.

Getting into the film, this isn’t a slasher like X. It’s more a crime thriller as Maxine…
