  I thought this movie was gonna be silly from the name and premise but the shots, the soundtrack, the action and really the coolness oozing from ghost dog draws you in and doesn’t let go. He’s not cosplaying as a samurai, he really is one, just on the wrong continent and century. He shows so much respect to everyone around him, even the villains, and especially the animals. He’s a sort of philosopher assassin.

  It’s not about the journey it’s about the destination 

  I saw this movie in a packed theater, at the front row after waiting in line outside. For any other movie that might have been absolutely awful but for this it’s actually essential and I’m so lucky I got to experience it like this.

  This movie is brutal. The music is loud and oppressive, the Dutch angles give it a sense of “wrongness”, the extreme closeups make you claustrophobic, the sex…
