Alien: Covenant 2017
Ridley Scott continues to insist on expanding on the origin of the xenomorph and space jockey, slightly spoiling elements of horror and the unknown in the original run. That aside, Covenant does have some fun critters and he main xeno looks fantastic. The sequence where shit hits the fan is a solid, stressful scene, but the climax feels a little familiar (although I am a fan of the very final moments).
The philosophical slant of these prequels is intriguing, but…

sorkin writes like he was in the room, but the scene where jeff daniels and fassbender are arguing just reminded me of a newsroom scene bc of the overbearing score lol.
