To become art is to die, but to not have become art is to be forgotten
While this movie has "90s indie scrapbook" vibes that I'm not a super big fan of (a better known example: Partygirl), there's a dialogue well worth seeing about art telling stories at the margins. Also includes a very cute friendship between the main character and another girl facing domestic abuse, adding a feminist angle to the plot.

Actually a terrible movie and idk how it got nominated. Bill Maher said this movie didn't win that many oscars bc of cancel culture - but rather it is a boring musical with bad songs that have some of the most bizarre placement.
