This movie is Black Panther for boomers who get mad when the new pharmacist at CVS has a thick accent

My biggest issue with the film is how souless it feels. Zac Efron as Bundy feels very surface level. For a film called Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, we honestly don't see too much of that. I'm not expecting a slasher film here, but this film has a very "Tell, don't show" approach to things and it makes the mistake of treating the audience as if we don't know who Ted Bundy is, hiding the murders from us in…

This film was a constant, relentless anxiety attack from start to finish, which is to be expected if you've seen the Sadfie brothers previous works but it's really what Adam Sandler brings to this table as Howard Ratner, a charismatic New York City jeweler always on the lookout for the next big score. This is the film that should immediately come to mind not only when discussing Scorsese, but also when discussing mafia movies in the genre's post-Godfather renascence. So many memorable scenes in this film have become iconic unto themselves and most of them involve Joe Pesci's Oscar winning performance as Tommy Devito. Three scenes that come to mind are "Do I amuse you", "Dance Spider" and "Go Get Your Shinebox", probably the three most memorable scenes in this entire movie. Not enough is said about Lorraine Bracco's performance as a conflicted mob wife at the end of her ropes while also enamored in the mafia lifestyle.
