Great art is timeless. Some of the best cinematography and acting I’ve ever seen and it’s a silent film. The devil is in even the holiest of men. We watch a girl too far from face an unfair trial alone and afraid. We are forced to watch her be manipulated and disrespected and murdered while we are powerless to do anything. Even though we know how the story ends it’s impossible to give up hope that maybe she makes it…

2001: A Space Odyssey 1968
I know this would’ve been crazy to watch in theaters. The whole second half I didn’t blink. Even decades after its release it’s still one of the most visually stunning movies I’ve ever seen. Every shot felt purposeful and every line was delivered perfectly. I was a little lost at times but I feel like that was on purpose. The sound design was top notch.
