  Probably the most racist Hollywood film since Birth of a Nation. Deeply evil. The recent controversy behind Michael Oher’s “adoptive” parents makes how this movie portrays their relationship even more egregious. It’s easy to get suckered in believing what your watching is a story of inspiration, but if you actually stop and think about it that innocent glamor gives way to a black, rotten heart.

  God(zilla)damn! Even at nearly 70 years old, Godzilla’s still got it! Toho and director Takashi Yamazaki bring the classic monster back to life in this post-war epic following 2016’s Shin.

  Essentially 1954’s Gojira but with modern technology, which means alongside the expected carnage, the film is a very emotionally driven study of the trauma following WWII on the people of Japan, especially the world weary veterans, who struggle to really find their place in a world hardly left standing.
