The premise and atmosphere initially drew me in, but unfortunately, The Woman in the Yard didn’t quite meet my expectations. The setting was well-crafted, and I appreciated that most of the film took place at the intriguing home featured in the trailers. However, the story felt disjointed, and the tension built early on never fully paid off.
The marketing led me to believe it would be a paranormal film—at least from my perspective—but the story ultimately went in a different direction, one that didn’t feel as compelling. I usually enjoy films that explore grief and other dark themes, but this one just didn’t resonate with me.
